Digital overcurrent relay with 3×3 digit LED display TRM-100

Three-phase current relay for load current control/limiting in the range of 40-100 A, manufacturer TENSE (Turkey)

The TRM-100 digital overcurrent relays are designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents, while allowing control of operation.

Use of the device and principle of operation

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
2. When the wiring is complete, apply power. After switching on, the display shows the set values for 5 seconds.
3. Use the "A>" controller to set the overcurrent value. The set value is shown on the left display.
4. Use the "t" controller to set the delay time. The set value is also shown on the left display.

When the device is switched on:
- The relay activates, the output contact switches to terminal 3 and the OUT indicator lights up.
- If the current exceeds the overcurrent set value (A>), the device starts counting down the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up.
- After the time has elapsed, the relay switches off, the contact switches to terminal 1 and the OUT indicator goes off.

Description

The TRM-100 series electronic current relay is designed for automatic disconnection of appliances when the maximum allowable current is exceeded.
Allows setting of switching current, delay time and return time.
Three programs are available for returning to "working" mode - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC and AUTOMATIC.

Reset modes:

- Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the Reset button. In this mode, the appropriate LED is illuminated.
- Semi-automatic mode: the system automatically resets three times after an overcurrent fault, then waits for a manual reset on the next fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.
- Automatic mode: the system resets automatically after each overcurrent error. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.

Note: To change the mode, hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED will light up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the largest and smallest phase current exceeds 50%, the device will enter the asymmetry fault mode within 2 seconds.
(This prevents damage to the system if one phase is lost during motor operation.)

When an asymmetry fault occurs:
- The group of displays of the two phases that caused the fault will flash and the ERR indicator will light.
- To exit the fault mode, the device must be reset manually.

Note: The TRM-50, TRM-100, TRM-200 and TRM-300 can only be used with the current transformers supplied.
