Digital overcurrent relay with 3×3 digit LED display TRM-300

Three-phase current relay for load current control/limiting in the range 190-300 A, manufacturer TENSE (Turkey)

The TRM-300 digital overcurrent relays are designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while allowing monitoring of operation.

Use of the device and principle of operation

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
2. When the wiring is complete, apply power. After switching on, the display will show the set values for 5 seconds.
3. Use the controller "A>" to set the overcurrent value. The set value is shown on the left display.
4. Use the "t" controller to set the delay time. The set value is also shown on the left display.

When the device is switched on:
- The relay will switch on, the output contact will switch to terminal 3 and the OUT indicator will light up.
- If the current exceeds the overcurrent set value (A>), the device will start counting down the delay time and the ERR indicator will light up.
- When the time has elapsed, the relay will switch off, the contact will switch to terminal 1 and the OUT indicator will go off.

The TRM-300 series electronic current relay is designed to automatically disconnect appliances when the maximum allowable current is exceeded.
It has a programmable trip range, the ability to set the trip time and the return time.
There are 3 programs to return to "operating" mode - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC, AUTOMATIC.

Reset Modes:

- Manual Mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the Reset button.
- Semi-automatic Mode: the system automatically resets three times after an overcurrent fault, then waits for a manual reset on the next fault. In this mode, the LED is lit.
- Automatic Mode: The system resets automatically after each overcurrent error. In this mode, the LED is lit.

Note: To change mode, hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED light will illuminate.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the largest and smallest phase current exceeds 50%, the device will enter the asymmetry error mode within 2 seconds.
(This prevents damage to the system in the event of a single phase failure during motor operation.)

When an asymmetry error occurs:
- The group of displays of the two phases that caused the fault will flash and the ERR indicator will illuminate.
- To return from asymmetry error mode, the device must be reset manually.
