This current monitoring relay is designed by Tense Electronics to protect electrical loads (such as three-phase motors, heaters, and transformers) from high current damage. It also can monitor electrical current on a main or priority circuit. If the current exceeds a set threshold, the relay cuts off non-priority circuits to prevent breaker trips, then automatically restores them when current drops.

  • Current Range: It features an adjustable overload tripping current value ranging from 15A to 50A.
  • Display: Equipped with a 3×3 digit LED display that shows real-time current measurements for all three phases, allowing operators to monitor system loads directly.
  • Asymmetry Error: It features a 50% fixed current asymmetry error protection mechanism.
  • Delay Time: Features an adjustable error delay time. This allows the system to tolerate temporary high current spikes, such as during a motor's initial startup (demeraj), without triggering a nuisance trip.
  • Reset Modes: Offers three programmable operation reset modes to return to an operational state: Automatic, Semi-Automatic, or Manual.
  • Mounting & Packaging: Designed for standard DIN rail mounting and comes included with the necessary external current transformers in the box.

Primary Application

Unlike traditional mechanical thermal relays, the microprocessor-based TRM-50 provides much more precise real-time current tracking and protection against phase imbalances or overcurrent faults, effectively extending the service life of industrial electric motors.
