New design of 3 phase TENSE panel type multifunctional meters are designed to delivers precise data within 0-9995A (Current Transformer primary side programmable up to 9995A for EM-06DIN) ranges for accurate key electrical values such as current , voltage and frequency measurement and trend analysis in industrial power systems. 

You can choose from 3 options - connect your own CTs (EM-06DIN) or buy EM-100DIN / EM-250DIN with Current Transformers  already included into the scope of delivery.

Choosing current transformers for the EM-06DIN

Do I need to buy separate CTs?
Choose the X/5 variant (EM-06DIN) if you want to supply your own current transformers with a 5 A secondary. The EM-100DIN (1–100 A) and EM-250DIN (2–250 A) options include their current transformers. These are not direct-connected alternatives without CTs.

Which CT ratio should I choose?
Match the CT’s primary rating to your circuit’s design current and expected operating load, then configure the EM-06DIN to match that ratio. Its listed programmable CT primary range extends up to 9995 A; check the available settings in the manual before ordering. Also confirm the CT’s burden rating, conductor opening and installation requirements.

Examples with stock verified when checked: 300/5 A, Class 0.5s, 1.5 VA, 400/5 A, Class 0.5s, 2.5 VA, and 600/5 A, Class 0.5s, 3.75 VA.

Split-core or solid-core?
Split-core CTs open around a conductor, which can simplify retrofit installation. Solid-core CTs require the conductor to pass through a closed opening. The 250/5 A ONKA split-core CT was also in stock when checked; its listed specification is Class 1, 1 VA, with a 36 mm opening. Split-core construction is not permission to work on live equipment.

What accuracy do I need?
Choose for the accuracy required by your monitoring task. Check the complete measurement chain, including the meter, CT class, operating current, leads and connected burden. A CT’s class alone does not establish billing suitability or regulatory approval.

Will it suit my supply and enclosure?
The EM-06DIN is a three-phase DIN-rail meter for current, voltage and frequency measurement. Confirm the supply arrangement and required CT quantity against the manufacturer’s wiring diagram. Check the meter’s dimensions, available rail space and wiring clearance before ordering. The 91 × 91 mm cutout specified for the panel-mounted EM-06 does not apply to this DIN-rail model.
