Star-Delta timer relay, universal power, with LED Indicators, ERV-YU, TENSE (Turkey)
Star-delta timer relays are designed to be used for managing the transition delay between start-up phase and working phase of three-phase motors by switching between Star and Delta contactors. The star stays connected for the set time and then goes into standby. When the waiting time is over, it allows switching to delta connection. This routing ensures smooth acceleration and reduce mechanical and electrical stress during startup in industrial motor applications.
By using Star-Delta timer you ensures reduce start-up current inrush, minimise mechanical shock and prolongs motor and contactor life.
Time settings you need to adapt your control system for different motor sizes.
Applications:
- Any equipment with high inertia loads - conveyors, loaders, crushers, well pumps;
- Machinery with high power motors - wood / metal working machines, grinders, compressors etc.
- HVAC / Fan equipment with the aim to reduced starting current.
